Any excuse I get to type Ned Rocknroll's name, I TAKE. Anyway, big news for Kate Winslet! According to JustJared, Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll have just welcomed a baby boy today. The actress reportedly gave birth to her baby boy at a hospital in Great Britain, according to her rep: "Kate had ‘Baby Boy Winslet’ on Saturday, December at an NHS Hospital in Sussex County, UK. Mother and Baby are doing great," a spokeswoman for the actress said, before adding that Winslet and Rocknroll were "thrilled to bits" at the new addition to their family.
No word on what the new parents have named the child or if he will have the surname Rocknroll (you know you were wondering too), but the Daily Mail reports that the child was a healthy 9 pounds.
This is the first child for Rocknroll, who was born Abel Smith and is the nephew to UK business magnate and Virgin Atlantic founder Richard Branson, and the third child for Winslet. She has two children from separate marriages: 13-year-old Mia from her marriage to director Jim Threapleton, and 9-year-old Joe from her marriage to director Sam Mendes. Winslet and Rocknroll were married late last year in a surprise ceremony.
